About
Herbie Johnson was a Captain on the Chicago Fire Department. On November 2, 2012 Herbie died while battling a house fire in the Gage Park neighborhood. He was the type of guy that was always there to help
in everyone's time of need. Whether it was helping someone deal with a death in the family or someone sick he was always there to help. After Herbie's death The Herbie Johnson Foundation was founded to keep his memory alive. The foundation contributes monies raised to families that have had loss in the family or terminally sick to help deal with the financial burdens.
Our Mission
Is to make sure that first responders never have to feel that they have to deal with the financial struggles of battling a terminal illness or death in the family alone. We will be here to help however they need us to.
